Dinner with the Art Assassins

Last week I had the pleasure of attending a lovely Banquet at the South London Gallery hosted by the Art Assassins. This is a group of young artist that meet once a week in south London and this year they put together a great exhibition of their views of the London Riots that occurred this summer.

It was an evening of art, intellectual discussion and good food. I had the pleasure of sitting across from Alison Rooke and Hannah Jones, two lecturers at Goldsmith University.
Well done to all the organiser especially Ashley Whitfield, who extended my invitation. I'm sure all will agree that it was executed to a high standard and I was thoroughly impressed.
For more information on the South London Gallery have a look at their website and see how you can get involved in local projects in your borough.

Final Day: Out with friends

~Day 7~
As Hijabi Fashion Week comes to an end, I showcase my final look; Out with friends. Whether it's out to dinner, a theatre trip or a sleep over, I keep girls close. They are the ones that encourage me when I'm down and help me find the true meaning of the Hijab and Sisterhood in Islam. Love them to bits and this look is dedicated to them.

Day 5
Everyone loves Eid! It's a day to dress up, celebrate with family and friends, reflect on your year and be grateful for all your blessings.
Here are pictures from Eid last year spent with my closest friends =)
I'm wearing an outfit made by yours truly that showcases a fusion of traditional African print (Ankara) and a modern skirt and blouse style.

Sun shining, shades on, bright maxi dress and sandals. Here is my vacation look. Paired with a light denim shirt and black hijab, taking these pictures left me feeling to jump on a plane and fly some where hot and sunny.
