In keeping with the sports theme, here a little more about my athletics carreer/ hobby.
I started throwing properly when I was 16, originally with Shot Putt, then Discus and now Hammer throw. I train and compete with Highgate Harriers in Hampstead Heath, North West London and I have a fabulous coach; John Wild!
The season ended this month and I must say it has been my best year so far and I'm really looking forward to 2012, the year of the London Olympics and hopefully getting better and better at this niche sport.
I finally threw over forty metres in Hammer this year, with a personal best of 40.21m and over thirty metres in the Discus with a PB of 30.16m. My Shot is coming along nicely with a PB of 9.16m. I am currently ranked amoung the Top 100 throwers in the UK and ranked 13th in London.
There is still alot of room for improvement, but it's still early days and the future's looking bright. =)
Looking forward to next season and gradually moving up in the rankings and also beating the club record which I am a few centimetres off.
